I'm pretty sure that this Hare was disturbed in a similar fashion by my returning home one afternoon last year and as it made it's way off at that exact moment a Whistling Kite went in for the kill and the poor Hare had to hurry up and make off for it's life

The old man cockatoo who usually comes in during the evening was here this morning...

"The water dish is empty... The water dish is empty... The water dish is empty... Not that I'm nagging...", ha ha...

The dish is mounted about seven feet up, so there's a bit of effort involved in getting the watering can up to it...

No sooner have I started pouring the water than he's got his head stuck in there, beside the spout, not making things easy...ha ha.....

The galahs who can never remember if it's okay for them to come to the back door, or not, were hovering round the back door, ha ha.

Then they decided that they weren't sure if they should be there or not...

We've done this before... ha ha.

They run off about five feet away, then stop and look back - "Are we allowed over by the back door?"... ha ha.

"I'll tell you what... I'll put some food down and if you think it's okay, then you come over and eat it...".

"Oh good, Food!!"... they say, rushing over... ha ha.

They're sillier than wet chooks, those birds, ha ha.

There is a small flock of Galahs that I see in town often and one of them is a lot paler than the rest.
They take off at the slightest disturbance so I haven't been able to get any video but maybe one day

A sort of pale pink, not like the general dark rose pink... much like this one?

Apparently galahs cross breed with Little corellas...

They're about the same size, and I suppose love knows no bounds, ha ha.

So there you go... a snippet of trivia for you to use the next time you need to escape a boring conversation... ha ha.

The one I see has lighter wings and slightly darker body.
If they weren't so flighty I could get a video.
I've never seen a Galah like it before. We don't get many Galahs here often they are just in pairs.
Sometimes we get huge flocks of the long beaked Corella.

Somehow I can't imagine a full grown male long beaked corella sidling up to a female galah and saying "How You doin'?... I haven't seen you round these paddocks, before... Listen I know a nice little dam where we could get a drink..."...ha ha.
