It seems very hypocritcal.

Drones pilots are targetting weddings and killing just as many innocents to get the people they are after.

Double tapping (killing a target and then killing those who rescue them) is also common.

How is this not classed as terrorism if you replace drone strike with IED ?

Targetting functions with civillians and targetting rescuers are trademarks of terrorist attcks and we are involved in this to feel safe.

We saw two bombs in Boston set minutes apart in a public space with innocents.

The satsifaction by the controllers in the included videos and cheers would be normal if they were playing a video game.

But they were not.

i was reading or heard that a medal for drone operators/whatever was considered and withdrawn or decided against recently.

it was something specific to XBOX military personnel anyway.

That may be great for the short term for the current president stopping the growth of terrorism.

These killed people have large families  and could be future enemies.

This will never end and I'm sure terrorist groups will use this to recruit.

one could be forgiven for thinking they want attacks at home, or someone does. it may just be the greed of the military contractors or it might be just stupidity.  it certainly isn't the dale carnegie way thats for sure.

There is a level in the videogame Call Of Duty:Modern warfare 2.

It was famously featured in the news because in the level you are undercover in a chenyan terrorist cell in you go on a shooting spree in an airport targetting innocents.

You could opt out of it and not kill any innocents as at the end of the level you get shot in the back regardless.

While the news played it out as an example of videogames creating future violent offenders , gamers and games magazines pointed out how horrible it was to be involved  in said masacre due to the realism.

Allot of gamers appreciated the level but the overall consesus was that even though it was not real life, nobody had fun.

These people controlling drones with cheers  really worry me because in that certain level of that videogame I never wanted to shoot anyone

Your are probably right about these drones being controlled in flight with a game controller.
