I liked the idea, especially when he said 

Cost per seat should be about the same as full fare economy in an aircraft. Forgot to mention that."

Bring it on. The only things i query are what level of fitness you would need to be at to be able to withstand these sorts of flights & how many people can fit on at one time. 

Also, I know he has had it land safely 16 times in a row but if he thinks that is a great deal and worth a boast, then I won't be on one anytime soon. Not till it lands safely 10,000 times in a  row.

I don't know about anyone else but I'd be willing to lower my standards from 1 hour to anywhere to eg 12 hours from here to London or USA. That would be  a massive improvement. I've read of some new age planes that might eventually do this by going very high-into space basically-but they are a similar sort of shape to modern day planes.

But I guess rocket type travel is the face of the future.

Flight 17 might just be the unlucky one they can't land properly but hey, no dogs on the flight, no worries.

They say the flight will be one hour but I live in Melbourne so it would probably take a couple of hours to get to the airport then a few more hours to check in.

There was a time when people did not know or believed in automobiles or aeroplanes, but authors wrot about such travel in science fiction books.

And nobody believed we would ever land on the moon. It's all old hat now.
