dear serena, when your getting beaten by a better player on the day best not to be a cow and start blaming others.
they wont overturn the umpires ruling and all you get is a reputation of being a bad sport.

Which half of her is Japanese?
What nationality is her other "half"?
Is that anything like a blonde, blue eyed, self-identifying aboriginal person being only half (or other percentage) aboriginal?
Just wondering.
Thats something I often wonder about too. If an " aboriginal " is 25% indiginous Australian and 75% European blood are they predominantly Aboriginal or European ? Obviously they are mixed race as we all are if you go back far enough in our ancestory, but shouldnt they be identifying with the 75% European blood, more than the 25% aboriginal ? Shouldnt they feel " the shame " that the rest of us are supposed to feel just because 230 years ago some white dudes from somewhere completely unrelated to my hereitage went exploring in a leaky wooden boat and ended up doing some " bad things "
It has become fashionable ( and profitable if you can tick that box and get on the government gravy train ) to have a % of indiginous ancestry, a bit like having a convict in your families past. Basically the blond blue eyed aborigines are exactly the same as you or me. Get over it, get on with it and stop playing the race card.
Make a success of your life for who you are as a person, not becuase you claim to be some " special " minority that gets extra support and money thrown at you because of some quirk in your families past history.

i dont have proof but i believe if i go back far enough i'm part neanderthal.
why is there no 'box' to tick for us neanderthals?

I am not sure that Neanderthals are indigenous to Australia, which would explain why the Government is not throwing money at you David.

I believe the other half of Naomi is Haitian or something like that.
As for people and what race they identify with, I would have thought people who are mixed race or nationalities would identify with both or else with their more predominant one if they were brought up in that culture.
For example, my mum was born in Australia, lived here all her life, she just called herself Australian.
Her dad was (supposedly) French canadian & she was very interested in that, and keen to see Canada, but she was still Australian as this is where she lived.
I do wonder at people such as Barack Obama, who is always called black. He isn't black, he's more a light brown as far as colour goes, and he is also half white as far as genetics go. he is as much white as he is black and from memory, was brought up more by his white mother.
Similar with Megan Markle as far as genetics go. Surely they should identify equally with both races?
I find it all a bit distasteful as i think these days, people identify them as 'black' and mean it as a matter of pride, as in 'first black president' etc but I am old enough to remember the stories of a friend of mine from South Africa in the 1970s. If you had the least bit of black blood you got labelled black or coloured and she was actually not allowed in some places as she was 'coloured'. People today may think they are being complimentary to others by labelling them as black or whatever, but it is still classifying someone sometimes based on just a minority % of genetic makeup. Can't see the point myself. Tell it how it is, as every race & nationality is interesting.

I find it distasteful that some people are still referring to others by colour.
What is it supposed to mean if an individual is a white, black or yellow person?
A big problem is that we don't know the agenda of the person who is labelling
others by colour. Do they have preconceived opinions of people who are a certain colour?
It's sometimes hard to tell if they are being racist, respectful of ones ethnicity, politically
correct, ignorant, or are just trouble makers.
The controversial Serena cartoon depicts Osaka as having fair hair and looking rather Western,
while Serena has exaggerated ethnic features. It seems Osaka is therefore viewed by some to
be portrayed as superior because of her Western-like appearance, and this is racist. Why? Do we
think white westerners are better?
I think some people need to review their stereotypes of colour and question whether their
conclusions are generalised assumptions, or accurate. Whichever, I think judging somebody
based upon their colour is primitive, and I hope we start to change soon.

i think thus far Ms Osaka is supirior to Serena by way of how she behaves.
she respects those around her.
its most likely her parents teaching that you respect your oponent, the umpire, the lines persons, the ball kids and everyone else.
if you make an error you dont start a tantrum.
serena has a long history of tantrums, from minor to major.
i first took a dislike to her when she insisted the wearing of beads in her hair was 'religeous' and therefore was above the dress code.
as soon as some beads started falling out on the court she was told if any part of her 'dress' including her beads got on the court she would get violations she had a tantrum.
when that failed suddenly she didnt 'need' to wear beads anymore!
