aks is mine.......instead of ask. Why can't people get that right and it is quite common, also picked up alot so I don't get why people can't say it correctly.

I am from the old school of learning where excellent English was taught and woe betide if you didn't learn it or spell everything correctly!
At my age, I'm allowed to be "irked" so here goes lol.
"We was going" - youse, yous - "I brought this item on eBay" - "Him and me went to the shop" - yes that word aks - writing alot instead of a lot - "I done this yesterday".
Cheers 🙂

Have you ever noticed some sport commentators often say " he hit a lovely six, John smith instead of John smith hit a lovely six, listen next time you are watching any sport. Really drives me nuts.

I reckon they do that becasue they have no idea who actually hit the lovely six and it gives their lackey time to whisper it to them

It's probably already been done but ya's you's or you'se ( however they spell it) would have to be my pet hate

Makes me laugh when people say or write that it is a "mute" point instead of moot.

I use youse in forums. I know it's wrong but I'm worried if I just say you somebody will think the remark is directed solely at them and take offense

You could always switch it up a bit and say "Y'all" instead :^O
