So which is "correct"? The article seems to have all bases covered.
But as some users noted, the man is allowing the woman to walk on the wrong side of the sidewalk โ the side closest to the road.
and

As I alluded to previously, I think you should just walk wherever suits you and your circumstances best.

my Dad ALWAYS walked in the road-side of the footpath when walking with me or my Mum & he ALWAYS opened the car door first for Mum first so ok, i need to get a life gleee58
