People have been shot in the head and survived, people have lost a good portion of their brain and still lived. The thing with using a gun for that is if it don't kill you, then your very messed up for life and no doubt would be extreemly painfull. Same with jumping from a high structure, I don't know enough about pills to commet on that, but yes, I'd say if someone was commeted on doing that, they would find a way, or find a way to combine 3 or 4 ways at once to ensure success.
If trying to come up with reasons to ban guns, i'd stay focused on one's disire to kill others, not themselves. I have nothing against guns, but if we were to ban them, id want the police and military to have theirs taken as well. Only fair right? I mean they abuse the

It's a natural right, a God given right, a human right, no matter where you are. It's a right that can't be taken, only violated..
Maybe in the world you live in, but in the real world, that "god-given" right doesn't exist. What did they do before firearms were invented? Was it a "god-given" right that you possess a crossbow?
What a load of codswallop.........

But here in Australia it is not your right to own one, but privilege, and you have to show that you are a responsible person deserving that privilege.

Sure, it's outlined in the US bill of rights under the 2ed amendment, but it's not a privlege, not something our government gives us, it's ours to exersize, or give away if we choose. and it's fine if any given person wants to choose that for themselves, but don't push others to do likewise, some of us value our rights.

Natural right?
God given right?
seriously?
It's a man made weapon, if you don't have a need for it, within the laws we have, you shouldn't have one.

I find that image of those young folk holding various weapons quite distasteful.
Why would anyone need a fully automatic weapon ? In public ?
The implication from the wording is that these are allowed - or they want them to be allowed - to be openly carried in Ohio.
I can't quite see the need to have a full auto machine gun over your shoulder as you go about your shopping ?????

It is certainly not a right that I would ever want to see in this country.
We are Australia not the United States of America.
Our country, our laws, our choice.

Yes, here in Australia it is a privilege that only responsible people of sound mind deserve. It is not about "government giving" anything, it is about protecting society. Your 2nd amendment has nothing to do with us, and it all has absolutely nothing to do with god. It's funny how some people when they see they are losing argument drag God out. LOL

What does that have to do with regulating gun ownership? If anything more guns in the society would give police more reason to suspect that person has a gun.
Case 1- Drunk people do not belong to police cells; in many countries they are kept in special facilities where there is a medical supervision. Police are not qualified to judge whether person is sick or drunk. And yes, police are known to mistreat people.
case 2- Victoria has a long history of shooting unarmed mentally ill people, or people armed with knifes, which should not be a threat to police if they stay at distance and try to diffuse the confrontation.
