Trump needs to be tried for treason, and so do those idiots who are doing this...i can't use the word here...in DC. THEY ARE NOT AMERICANS.

I used to be on a forum that had a man from texas (he is now deceased so i can't run events by him). He was a republican although he didn't like Trump at all.
But one of his never ending sagas when it came to discussions about guns etc was that in USA, every citizen had the right to bear arms because they may need them one day to overcome the government, that was their constitutional right.
We pointed out that times have moved on and it would be pretty hard for individuals to compete against military weapons but he was adamant that Americans had this right, if they felt the government of the day was corrupt.
Now I know that amendment was probably meant more for states to oppose Federal etc but it seems to me that our Texan (who was a highly educated man, by the way) and his view is one that is held widely in USA.
I also realise the present government in USA is not corrupt and in need of a take over but I'd say that is exactly what some of Trump's supporters feel. In their eyes, they are not doing anything wrong, they are being patriotic and exercising their rights. I listened to some of what Trump was saying the other day and that was exactly what he was implying, that the elections were not being run democratically or fairly.
One thing that is very different in USA to here is that when an election is finished here and results known for sure, we see an immediate switch of power. Instant. If the election is Saturday and results known by Sunday morning, then by Monday the new PM is moving in and the old one is out.
I think if something like that happened in USA, without this extraordinarily long wait for hand over that they have, we may not be seeing this present situation. I know they love their constitution and their traditions, but maybe it is time for some tweaks.

from what i get from all thats going on over there is
first they were voting for a president not a govt
only now because of 2 'seats' going to election has power swung from republican to democratic
i get the constitution was written a very long time ago
the right to bear arms had a very different meaning back then to today
it was flint lock pistols n rifles not AK47s
the govt didnt have a multi level armed force so the idea of 'the people' rising up and taking control could have been possible (back then)
so while today they still spout the 'we have the right' only a daft twitt would think even with high power weapons of today, a handful (in context) well armed citizens wouldnt stand a chance in a govt coup
if the govt forces were given free range to do what they do to quell the morons with guns it would be over in about 1 day IMO
these idiots today were relying on their numbers and that the police at the scene would most likely not shoot to kill
of course i fully expect the govt to now fortify the congress building making it near on impossible to try this again

The US Constitution is 4 pages long.
With 27 Amendments.
The right to bear arms is only a small part.

Trump's Twitter account has been suspended.
Pence has been asked to invoke the 25th Amendment - Google will give the jist.

If any clashed with police they were not likely Trump supporters
