Don't worry on that score david, in a case this high profile, if he wins for Trump, his future is assured, all the money in the world can't buy that kind of advertising.

Incited by the President, at least 7 killed, and the mob went to the Capitol to hang the Vice President. Trump told them he loved them after this happened. Unbelievable.

If that was true the assembled multitude would have leveled the Congress building , brick by brick

35,000 gathered for the photo-shoot - a couple of dozen trouble makers , 52 arrests

Now the vexing pr issue is the speed in which the good Senators fled the scene rather than standing their ground and facing off the hot-heads as noble guardians of democracy would be expected

The President in hindsight I am sure would regret not making clear that none were to enter the building and made known the issue of orders to shoot to kill by the Presidential Guards in the case of a breach - as was during a Senate democratic process in session

Re: who will win? Trump or Biden?

35,000 - kidding - right.

So far....................

The storming of the US Capitol last month left five people dead, over 100 police officers injured and millions of dollars in damage to the building.

Most of the rioters were allowed to leave the building without facing arrest, but a month-long search for offenders has resulted in charges against a reported 221 people.

Among those arrested, there have been state lawmakers, military veterans and even a gold medal-winning Olympian.

And the search goes on.

And you know who - is getting his ' organic ' food - the Trump made me do it - person - whose lawyers are going to use that in his defense. lol

Re: who will win? Trump or Biden?

What do you mean by defenders? There were 300 policemen there.

Or perhaps what you what you really mean is, 'where was the public outrage?'.

The riot was  publicly condemned by the leaders of all political parties;

if you were to check the newspapers of the day I'm sure you would find plenty of outrage in opinion pieces and letters to the editor;

and I'm sure talk back radio  had plenty to say about it also.

It is worth remembering however that in1996 there was:

No Facebook (launched 2004)

No Twitter (first tweet sent March 21st 2009)

No Whatsapp ((launched Feb24th 2009)

No Snapchat  (launched Sept 2011)

It is also worth remembering that we are currently watching on televison, hearing on radio and reading in newspapers, the reaction to the assault on the Capitol, The 1996 riot occurred 24 years ago, and the public, collectively, has a rather short attention span, so unless you have access to news video or audio of te day, or have  an exceptionally good memory, it is very hard to draw comparisons about public reaction..

HE achieved nthing but signing a piece of paper. It was all already in the works, all the work was done by the committees involved, Trump had NOTHING to do with it. And the fruitbat that keeps nominating him generally gets ignored. Trump won't get a Nobel prize, he and his cult can't even spell it.

You are one of 2 things, Rogespeed. Clueless, or an expat who supports a madman. I hope it's the former. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, and you do MY country and the sane people here a grave disservice with your idiotic description and stupid accusations. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Re: who will win? Trump or Biden?

i caught a little of 'the drum' (a current events program on ABC TV) last night where they were discussing the civil unrest and impeachment progress in the USA

now a women of US birth, an academic, who seems is living in australia. was saying she fears a civil war is about to break out in her country.

now this may or may not happen

but i feel like the storming of the capitol it would be very a short lived excersise ending in deaths and failure by these morons

why?

because their numbers are relatively small compared with the population as a whole

they would get little or no support from the various levels of law enforcement

military, police, home guard

and the vast majority of americans arnt stupid, the election prooved that

and the fact since the capitol riot most of these morons are hiding because everyone they meet or see might be dobbing them in to the FBI

so sure they can rattle their gun talk

but if even 1 of them decides to 'take the law into his or her own hands' and starts shooting

laws will be invoked

armies of law enforcment will double or tripple in the country

and they will not have as much freedom as they do now, regardless of the republican party

there is a good chance in 2024 the republican party will be reduced to a cinder at the ballot box

everything they dont want to happen will happen

in my opinion
