why do atheists feel the need to talk about God all the time?
Hands up how many people here have ever had an atheist knock on their door or stop them in the street trying to convert them.
It's the foot in the screen door that I hate after you have opened it, if I want go to church I will pick the church and not have some pale neck to knee dressed woman with a grey hair bun accompanied by a man dressed in a dark suit and white shirt with a small boy or girl ask me to be prepared for the next dooms day, happened just last week and we asked "how come it did not happen last December when it was supposed to all end" HHHHMMMM but it will happen was the answer.

bob, you stated that you are a Christian. yet you believe in evolution?
Yeah, where's the conflict?
on 01-06-2013 05:49 PM
It depends what's meant by 'evolution'. If the term is used to say that animals have evolved over time into various models of the same animal - eg African elephants, Indian elephants etc then OK I believe that too. It is most prevalent in dogs I guess - there may have been the odd few breeds evolved in the wild - but certainly more breeds have evolved due to man's interventions even over the last few thousand years.
The other bit, where we all came from NOTHING or something that crept out of the swamp - you will never convince me of that.

Lakeland if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, sounds like a duck........
It's probably a duck. Atheists and Christians feast on duck.

That's not evolution Rabbit. Evolution is different to abiogenesis. You're getting the terms mixed up.

sorry ... what I meant to add was - no matter how many times dogs have been crossbred the progeny are ALWAYS ...... DOGS. If you ever find a report that says a Rottweiler has been crossed with a Maltese Terrior and their progeny are a new species of CAT - please let me know immediately.

It's an easy question. Do you believe that muslims and mormans believe is true or do you think it's more likely to be a myth? It's not a hard question. I'm not asking whether you should disrespect their belief.
How does a theistic evolution differ from scientific evolution?
Belief in the existence of God, the creator of the universe.

and yet here you are Lakeland ?:|
where did i say i'm an atheist ? i'm not. i'm at least honest about it , i have no idea if there is a god/ deity / creator whatever. i've seen nothing that proves/disproves existence of one. i'd go so far as to say i don't mind either way in fact.
