resistance is futile

I find the single celled organisms merging into a life form and then adapting to life on land or the swamp theory very plausible. We CAN see evolution in action with our genetic manipulation of domestic animals and you can see the single cell lifeforms living in "water" and adapting to life in the process of a child conceived from 2 single cells and evolving till its birth

Belief in the existence of God, the creator of the universe.
Yeah? belief in GOd and creator of the universe says nothing about evolution. So you just believe in scientific evolution.

before I was a Christian I did not believe in evolution, I remember challenging various science teachers at school on it - no hidden gender there just fact. I remember watching tv [black & white] that from 1 knucklebone that was found somewhere proving evolution and them showing a "stone age family" can still see the picture in my mind today. remember the news guys spiel about the big forhead, curved spine, etc - the story before was about a murdered persons skeleton how the forensics people could not tell if it was male or female.
that is the science of evolution, I call it faith.

It's the foot in the screen door that I hate after you have opened it, if I want go to church I will pick the church and not have some pale neck to knee dressed woman with a grey hair bun accompanied by a man dressed in a dark suit and white shirt with a small boy or girl ask me to be prepared for the next dooms day, happened just last week and we asked "how come it did not happen last December when it was supposed to all end" HHHHMMMM but it will happen was the answer.
You seem like a really lovely person :-x

sorry ... what I meant to add was - no matter how many times dogs have been crossbred the progeny are ALWAYS ...... DOGS. If you ever find a report that says a Rottweiler has been crossed with a Maltese Terrior and their progeny are a new species of CAT - please let me know immediately.
Microevolution has been shown and proven in decades. When you extend microevolution over millions of years what do you expect?

Whatever you say Bob :^O
PS Theistic evolution is not a scientific theory

Science can make mistakes (has made some incredibly shocking mistakes) but it's not a closed or sealed theory - will always grow and continue to challenge. I very much doubt that all that is thought today will remain in good standing 100 or 50 or even 10 years from now. Scientific discovery never ends.

that is true para but many don't like to acknowledge that.
problem is again the blind faith of believing in evolution. [faith is the only word I can insert there] and it truly is a narrow way of thinking. and I bet very few on here have ever looked seriously at the evidence put up by creationists. the reality is and I hope others will admit this but more and more scientists are believing in a young earth.
the problem I find is how unscientific those who believe in evolution are by not looking at the other options/evidence. [science of only looking at the science that proves what you believe].

genetic manipulation by man has nothing to do with what has happened in the wild.
and the process of a baby anything (including human) is a predefined process - the genes are intrinsic to the sperm and egg - as I said above a mating of a human mother with a human father renders - HUMAN BABIES. A mating of an giraffe mother and a giraffe father renders GIRAFFE BABIES. A mating of one species with another, as far as I know, renders
NOTHING.
If it ever happens another way (except with human interference of course) I will think about revising my understanding.

GO: Lakeland if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, sounds like a duck.., It is most probably an intelligent theist Anatidae.
From what I have noticed from some of the pulpit offerings it would appear that many (most?) of those who mention:-
" On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life."
Do not appear to realise that Darwin's book did not address the question of human evolution, saying only that "Light will be thrown on the origin of man and his history".
That does not surprise me though.
PS
An excellent/incredible book of Darwin's is "The Voyage of the Beagle".(published in May 1838 as the Narrative of the Surveying Voyages of His Majesty's Ships Adventure and Beagle in four volumes) 5 continuous years of intensive scientific research that spanned the globe, in a 90ft boat
