Catholic schools get government funding anyway? now university money is going towards private schooling. wth.
if Catholics want their own little private indoctrination schools- fine- but they should pay for them. fgs just call the Vatican.

both major parties will continue with this policy because the spread of catholics (or people with kids in catholic schools at least) is broad across both parties.

am3, I could run off and find you stats blah blah but that would be pointless wouldnt it.
Im not asking you to take what I say seriously, or anyone else.
So, no trying harder Az.
Hawk, any child can prosper within any system, I wouldnt say children get a better education going private.
so.... what is the point to your thread?
and some children will. Depends on the child/teacher/school/parents.

your right, it depends on a lot of things whether or not a child gets a good education.
there has to be a point? I was just sayin'. didnt realise there had to be a point as such.

Don't need stats, blah blah. You must have some idea of what these outrageous fees (compared to other independent schools (Scots College? LOL) when you made that statement.
How do you know they charge outrageuos fees?
Catholic School fees are generally a lot lower than other independent schools.

the downside for private schools is larger class sizes.
Are you inferring private schools have larger class sizes than public schools.
Not in my experience they don't.

am3 I might not like the church but I do know people who are catholic? I hear how expensive they are, just word of mouth- I cant give you quotes.
on 14-04-2013 05:20 PM
I know parents (who don't want their children to go to local public schools) who choose Catholic schools (non-Catholics) because the fees are lower than independent schools.
