HEATWAVE: Bendigo swelters through another hot day

UPDATE WEDNESAY: The temperature is again soaring.

According to the Bendigo Bank clock, it was 42 degrees at 12.01pm. 

By 12.17pm, that had soared to 44 degrees.

Chuck, hope that they will be alright and their house can be saved.

Twinkle, I saw that the fire in East Gippsland was right down to near Mallacoota........my brother in law lives down there.

The fires are terrible and the firies will be stretched to the limits.

There is a boarding kennel right in the path of the fire near Bairnsdale. i hope they got themselves and any animals out safely.

I left my dog there last holiday we went on, they were lovely people, not young either. Hope they're ok.

OMG no.........I hope that they get the animals out as well as themselves, we can only hope that they will be alright..........

there is a property at Drouin that is now under threat. she fosters animals! i have just said I would take in animals such as rabbits etc.

That is good of you Twinkle, every one helping is good........all animals have to be looked after and if you can help, that is wonderful.

It's still hot here too. On the news they showed a zoo at Halls Gap, with giraffes. I hope they can be saved if the fire goes through

I hope they got all the animals out.............that is one thing that really upsets me seeing any animal hurt or in danger, like a fire etc.

Still 40 here, but at least its starting to head downwards.

Giraffes!! They wouldnt be easy to move in a hurry, hope they're ok.

it is 40 out on our back deck as well..........it is going down and it has become cloudy.
