HEATWAVE: Bendigo swelters through another hot day

UPDATE WEDNESAY: The temperature is again soaring.

According to the Bendigo Bank clock, it was 42 degrees at 12.01pm. 

By 12.17pm, that had soared to 44 degrees.

The news update said that the cool change has begun in far west Victoria and should reach Melbourne around 8pm.

Hopefully the same will happen in SA.

One of the good things about having long hair is that when it is wet it's like having a cooling wet towel on you.I had a shower about 15 minutes ago and my hair is nearly dry already.

I noticed in the news over 500 flying foxes

died in this heat at Yarra Bend.

just heard from 2 of my neices, they are in the middle of one of the huge fires. CFS is setting up sprinklers on her house. There is falling ash

the other is packed and ready to go when told

there has just been a news release re Gippsland. fires now have the potential of spreading to 500,000 hectares.....with services stretched to the limit already
