Due for system memory upgrade....

......Anyhow using freeware app System Explorer i have noticed consistent maximum system memory usage , with some user processes realising noticeable slowdowns

I know I can just put up with this situation but I think I will invest in additional ram memory as supported by my mainboard

Would this solution be cost justified by the majority of computer users experiencing slower performance or a matter of personal preference ?

\But for both operating systems there is the ever present threat of installed malware from unauthorised users ie physical intruders , hostile workers etc

User installed malware I suspect will not be detected by security apps as will be assumed to be authorised - or else computer owner installed nannyware would be detected and removed (A flaw in most consumer security apps ?)

So what to do ?

As long as you don't click on any links that you are unsure off then you shouldn't get any malware.

Anyhow My memory modules arrived from the States taking just 2 weeks - impressive during the global calamity - and somehow found their way into my computer -  The 8GB upgrade and SSD really has woken up the computer but i hate waiting for a computer to finish booting so maybe i am to pedantic and so exaggerate - anyhow 10 seconds or there abouts after POST I can live with

I wish, but I've gotten used to the speed of this system as it may be slow but seems to work fine so far.

Next is to have the chipset heatsink upgraded as more performance increases heat by 4x - so for a sustained task I think the chipset overheating might be an issue - excessive heat will not crash a modern computer but will slow down to reduce heat - not what one wants for consistent performance

Maybe just get a small fan that hooks into the rear of the pc as I had 3 inch fan for that purpose which was

hooked into the pc when a previous system kept over heating.

Then a SATA-III host bus adapter card installed in the unused pci-e 16x video bus interconnect - is this supported and will the attached SATA-III ssd improve performance ?

Such things I ponder while in mandated isolation

At least if will give you plenty to do and if uncertain of anything you have the web for answers.

Why burgle a house when can physically intrude and install a remote viewer or bank details snatcher onto the family desktop and plunder the online accounts remotely ?
