Just recerntly I notice a tiny "Ads by Keep Now" and "Ad Options" on top of the screen on Chrome which are causing nasty ad popups all over the place.
I have run -
Malware Bytes
SpyBot
Super anti spyware
Avast anti virus
Checked Windows programmes to uninstall and uninstalled anything i don't recognise
Removed any Extensions in chrome I don't recognize
all without success.
Can anyone suggest another malware programme I could try, or should I upgrade one of the above programs to Pro/paid?
When I google Remove Keep Now all i seem to get is links to dodgy sites that suggest a Download Prog that
I've never heard of or anyone else by the sound of it.
I haven't downloaded anything recently so don't know how this happened.
Any help would be appreciated.
Some suggestions I picked up were to use
AntiMalware Toolkit
Adw cleaner
Ad-aware
Should I try those do you think?
Running win 7, and only basic knowledge of computers

if its come back you might want to have a serious look at what sort of sites you are going to and I go to some um adult sites 🙂
I dont know what sort of internet security you have but microsoft works for me
I would do a clean install put everything you want onto another hard drive scan it several times with different programs and delete anything that the software thought was suss.
Depending on your system will depend on the time it takes to do a re-install
I have win7 on a 2006 HP laptop with a 1.8ghz dual core 1 gig of ram 80 gig hdd and I can do a clean install in less than an hour even faster now that I have win7 on a usb drive as my DVD player no longer works 😞
good luck I hope you get rid of it
and dont open any emails from people you dont know and never click on their links

Hi kobies
No I'm very boring and don't go to any adult sites or similar, lol. I think I've isolated the problem which is with Chrome only, not Internet Explorer. There are 2 extensions there, one is Deal4Me that I disable and toss into garbage, but the next day it comes back of its own accord. . Then there is another extension there called Docs Viewer installed by Enterprise Policy that won't disable and i understand I'd have to go into the registry and mess about there which I'm not competent enough to do.
Other than that I've only got one extension Adblock - totally hopeless.
So I think the solution will be to stop using Chrome and start using Firefox.
Fingers crossed.
