OUTLOOK EXPRESS Mail - what does everyone use now instead of? Desperate for some advice.

Hoping someone in the know can help.  Hubby wipped everything from our PC a few weeks back as we were having issues, BUT of course when he has gone to reload everything he has found out that we can no longer use OUTLOOK EXPRESS for all our mail.....we currently have Mozilla Thunderbird but it's just not the same, having multiples issues with the various mail accounts we have and we much prefer the good old Outlook Express.....what does everyone else use to retrieve their mail or does anyone know if we can somehow get Outlook back somehow? Much appreciated for any advice

I have a Outlook.com Email account and have imported my other Email account to it,(I use Google Chrome).

It will depend on which Windows you are using,8 or 10.

Actually it's Windows 7 and that seems to be the issue, but will have a read of links and see. Much appreciated for your help
