Choose and Change (New Game)

Let's try this new game... 🙂

You have a word and have to write a sentence with an antonym of this word (it must not be a perfect antonym/opposite). The sentence must contain at least three other words (not including articles, pronouns etc.)

The next poster then chooses a word from the sentence of the previous poster (not the antonym, any other word) and builds a new sentence with the antonym of the word he or she has chosen.

For example:

START - She finished her delicious meal in no time.

The antonym of "start" is "finish/finished", so the next poster has to choose between "delicious", "meal" and "time" (the antonym can't be used) and has to write a sentence with the antonym of the chosen word and with at least three other nouns.

TWISTED - When she got lost in the wilderness, she felt very anxious, but suddenly she saw a mysterious straight path that led her to freedom.

SUDDENLY - Walking for miles in uncomfortable shoes was soon  becoming unbearable, time to sit and rest.... and shortly to buy new shoes

SHOES - It was hard for the match-seller to pick up the fallen matchsticks with her hands clumsy in their mittens.

CLUMSY - He could sit for hours and watch the amazing craftsman work, marvelling at the way his deft hands shaped the raw materials into something amazingly beautiful.

RAW - The result would be a perfectly cooked omelette, fluffy and golden and steaming gently with residual heat upon the plate.

GOLDEN - She forgot the pizza in the oven, and when she noticed smoke coming from the kitchen, she opened the oven and saw a dark brown crust that was supposed to be her pizza.

OPENED - He was both excited and apprehensive when he closed the door of his campus accommodation for the last time, and headed off to his new career in the cut-throat world of business.

CAMPUS - With a hand cupping his unshaven chin and his khaki shirt rumpled with the heat of the day and the long hours spent working on this project, the engineer surveyed the incomplete bridge and made mental calculations; he needed to jot down his adjusted figures but his paperwork was off-site back at his office.
