Choose and Change (New Game)

Let's try this new game... 🙂

You have a word and have to write a sentence with an antonym of this word (it must not be a perfect antonym/opposite). The sentence must contain at least three other words (not including articles, pronouns etc.)

The next poster then chooses a word from the sentence of the previous poster (not the antonym, any other word) and builds a new sentence with the antonym of the word he or she has chosen.

For example:

START - She finished her delicious meal in no time.

The antonym of "start" is "finish/finished", so the next poster has to choose between "delicious", "meal" and "time" (the antonym can't be used) and has to write a sentence with the antonym of the chosen word and with at least three other nouns.

Let's get started... 🙂

VOLCANO - Disgusted with humanity and suffering from a rare disease that badly burned his skin on even moderately sunny days, he crept into a subterranean cave and started reading the Iliad and the Odyssey, writing down some personal thoughts in a notebook he had managed to save from his utter disgust for the human race and the human condition.

HARDER - Gwyneth plonked herself down upon the armchair-shaped stone and unpacked her lunch - a cheese and pickle sandwich, an apple and two hard-boiled eggs - and the stone became more uncomfortable by the minute so that she wished there was something softer to sit upon.

DOUBT - Although I have a strong belief that the material and the physical do not limit all that is, I do not think that literal ghosts exist, clanking their chains and moaning horribly, or drifting sorrowfully down hallways holding their severed head (but I enjoy their appearance in fiction!).

CHAINS - It is important to remember that we all have the right to assert our freedom, even in times when groaning and yelling humans trying to assert themselves (possibly due to lack of self-esteem deep inside) bash us with the whip of their hatred and contempt.
