ooooh my le-anne I hope youre okay .....rotten machinery .... was chatting to a friend the other day and she said she read somewhere that all things mechanical now only really are guaranteed to work for about 5 years X-( ......that we are becoming a throwaway society .....how bad is that ?
Im over having to pay out so much but only getting that small amount of time to use it in ..... and what are we gonna do with all the old broken stuff - water heaters, washing machines etc ...we dont have a neverending land space to put it all into ......they need to lift their games and go back to the way things were built in the past - with a longer life ....

yep things increase in price all the time ......and if you only get a short time in which they work ...then it makes it very expensive to actually use anything ......
I gotta say new is not always better ..... Ive had my washing machine for about 15 or so years and its working beautifully ....but they dont make this brand (Hoover) anymore .....so I wont be happy when I have to replace it with something that is not up to the quality I have now ....:-(

Peela, after 6 years I had to have my dishwasher worked on, a new heating element in the freezer part of my refrigerator, and a new circuit board for my a/c all in one month last year. Everything is so cheaply made. I'd rather have appliances from 20 years ago.
