eyes seem to be a bit better ..... mind you we finally had some rain ....so its not so hot ...Im wondering if that combined with the allergy drops have made the difference ....
we had 64 days without any rain .... ๐ฎ ......and they were all above 30c deg ๐ฎ .....thank goodness its cooler ๐

Peela! We haven't had any rain since last September. It's horribly dry here and we've already had some fires...human caused of course. ๐ I see people from time to time who throw their cigarettes out the car window; make me mad.
Well first thing this morning....I look out the kitchen window to check on my flower bed. I normally can see some of the flowers but I couldn't this morning. Ran outside to find something had gotten up into my raised flower bed and devoured all of my violet plants; all 15 plants. Some were pulled out and just stubs; others basically non-existent. They didn't bother the columbine or geraniums. You can see lots of small prints. It's gotta be baby javelina. If I catch them coming through tonight, they will be sorry along with their mama. I will be buying more today to plant and I will be buying some fencing to put around them.
Well I best get busy; I've got a lot of extra work to do today...thanks to the critters.

oh no not your gorgeous violets ๐
I gotta say I had to look up what a javelina was .... looks like a sort of warthog or tapir ..... but maybe a mixture LOL ....we obviously dont have anything like that over here ... probably the closest sorta animal is a wombat .... although they are sorta fat and pudgy and furry LOL ....
they obviously have delectable tastebuds ....cos they only ate the choice plants :^O

DONNA, sorry to hear about your flowers. I have critters too; when I'm lucky enough to get something to grow the cats usually kill them. I have Peonie bulbs ready to put in the ground but half afraid to. It gets so expensive trying to get things to grow when animals won't leave it alone.

Peela, the javelina are ugly and remind me of warthogs. They are very destructive. There is a hunting season for them and some people love the taste...ugh! LOL I went and purchased several more violet plants yesterday but haven't planted them yet. Waiting on my other half to put up some fencing to keep them out.
It's been horribly windy since yesterday and we're expecting rain today/tomorrow. I'm not happy about our temps getting real close to freezing tonight though.

oooh windy at your place eh .... we get the easterly here .....and it can blow like the dickens ..... we have had the odd shower on friday ...but nothing today ...although they say there will be more tomorrow .... but I am enjoying the cooler temps at night ... although I dont think close to freezing would be good ... hope youre all rugged up โฅ
