well went to the reptile park .... kids had a ball ... they got to nurse bobtail goannas , have carpet pythons draped around their necks (2 different sized ones) ..... and pat some purebred dingoes .... then see some other reptiles.... crocodiles, lizards, more snakes including some very dangerous ones ... ๐ฎ ..... they also had wombats, emus, crocodiles, kangaroos and some parrots, peacocks - with babies, cockatoos etc ....
they had a great time .... and we took heaps of piccies so they could show their parents themselves with snakes all over them LOL ...
gonna be a hot xmas over here in the west ๐ฎ whats new ๐

mim ....
well today I made gingerbread men with the kids ..... twas interesting .... we made them from scratch ... no packet mixes ... .... and the kids all smelt the ingredients ....and gave their critique on how they smelt LOL .... they didnt like all spice smell..... and yet liked ground ginger spice smell ... ....totally bizarre cos their is ginger in the all spice ... LOL
but we finally got to use the roller on it ... then into the fridge for 30mins ...before we cut out the men .... which the kids did ...and then put on two buttons ( M & Ms) ....before going into the oven .... whilst the kids were asleep .... another girl and I wrapped them up into cellophane ... then I told the kids that they had to take them home .... and they werent allowed to open them until they ask their mums .... cos I didnt want them spoiling their dinner ....we will see how many kept that promise tomorrow LOL ....
well off to watch some tv ....before bed ....

Good Morning!
Sorry I haven't been in for a few days. Been super busy, had a 24 hour bug of some sort, and I'm still busy trying to get everything done.
On top of that, Monday my hubby was put on a cpap machine and boy has it been a huge adjustment period. His oxygen level is too low at night and he stops breathing periodically throughout the night. So this machine will solve that problem and so far he's sleeping better and feels better. Me on the other hand, I haven't slept more the 5 1/2 hours a day and I'm exhausted. I'm just hoping I can make it through Sunday. I think today I'm going to take a nap.
Peela, that reptile park sounds wonderful. Happy to hear the kids had a great time and I'm sure the parents appreciate the pictures since they couldn't be there. What a thoughtful thing to do.
Ohhh, I bet the centre smelled wonderful and I don't know how the kids slept through all that...lol.

Le-Anne, hope all is going well at work. I've got to venture back out again today cause I need one more stocking stuffer for my husband and I hope I'm done shopping.
I will stop back in later today...probably towards later in the evening for me. I've got heaps of things to accomplish because I really want to chill out tomorrow night when it's Christmas Eve.
I've got to do a bit more cleaning, laundry, wrapping presents, grocery shopping, and find time to take a nap.

Our temperature went down to 26ยฐF last night and we're supposedly going to have snow today here in the desert. I guess there's a storm coming through and then Christmas Day it's suppose to be rather warm...no wonder folks are getting sick.

well reports in this morning .... from staff ....about the cookies ... I made enough for everyone ...and they consensus is that they are delicious ....LOL ...thought they would be cos the dough was yummo !
ooh snow in the desert ๐ฎ ......bizarro world indeed .... we are forecast about 32 degrees C on xmas day .... so our air cons will be cranking ๐
