Hi everyone.
Shannon's appt in Boston went well. The drs actually recognize this disease is very aggressive for her and are planning to treat it that way. They told her she has a hernia from her surgery which her other gi drs haven't noticed apparently. shocker!!!. I think we are are the right track now.
Had to do the pee drug test today for the new pt job. So much fun to pee in a cup! LOL. Not sure when I am supposed to start yet. Probably next week. They have to wait for the results of that test and the background check. So who knows!
Not much else happening. Shannon has been applying for jobs here as her BF got the official word that he will have a job waiting for him when he gets done school in May. So even if she has to move back here before him, that will be ok if she is able to snatch up a good job. *fingers crossed* since she's now about $65,000 in student loan debt. Yikes!

well a crappy week of hot temperatures and kids who couldnt go outside due to the high UV reading .....and the aircon didnt cope too well with the extreme heat so we were sweating up a storm ..... had all the toddlers and babies in just their nappies ... and on tuesday I got a girl to go buy 3 bags of ice .... which we shared between the 4 rooms .... one bag each for babies & toddlers and the other for the kindy children ...
my toddlers had an awesome time with it .... and so did the babies .... of course the older children went nuts with it .... **sigh** but at least it was nice and cold ....
we used some of the cold water in a spray bottle to spray on the babies/toddlers to keep them cool .... so that helped ๐
well not booked this week or next .... other than on tuesday I have haircut, dentist checkup and car service all booked in one after the other LOL .... gotta get them all done at once in case I get a call to work ...
ooh only 2 wks today until Im off on my holiday ... woohooo !!!

oooh just had to share for those who didnt see it ....
got my power bill the other week .... for 61 days up until 24/12
and if you took off the GST and the reading of the meter ... my whole usage for that time only came to $4-75 .....
how awesome is that .... love that my solar panels are kicking in big time .... ๐ .... had them on the roof for 12mths ..... so Im one happy camper .... we used the aircon during the hottest days when we were home ... but Im not too fazed as Im sure the heat during the day accounted for the energy we used when we got home with the aircon ....
we dont have a smart meter .... which channels off the stored power to the power company and then they pay us a piddling 7cents / kilowatt ..... ours is the old meter ... that during the day when the solar power is collected it winds back the meter ....so it undoes what we have used .....so we get the use of the whole lot .... much rather it that way than them getting it all and paying bubcus for it !! .... only starts winding forward once the sun goes down ....
sorry for the scroller .... just had to share how happy I am about it .... and Im doing my bit for the environment ...and my wallet B-)

well our weather is totally bizarre today ..... yesterday it was pretty hot most of the day ... but as the day wore on it got hotter ...instead of cooler .... and yet today its warmish with overcast sky outside and spits of rain .... I think it has something to do with the nasty cyclone up the north of our state .... but I do like this cooler weather I gotta say after such awful heatwave conditions ๐

Well. I woke up at around 11pm last night to the pellet stove giving off big time smoke. It was awful. The lower auger that brings the pellets into the bin to burn stopped working and somehow the pellets inside the hopper started to burn in there. That was not good. I woke up and the smell was awful. You know the smell you get when something runs over in your oven and you cook again and it burns again? Well it was 10 time worse! I had a terrible headache and my eyes and nose were burning and I got nauseous. This has never happened before. We've had the augur break before and the pellets just didn't get into the bin to burn and the stove shut itself off. I really don't know how it get backed up and the pellets started burning inside the hopper. Weird. We ordered a new auger and should have it by the end of next week. Good thing we are having unusually warm temps as heating oil is so very expensive! Hopefully we won't have to go through too much of it!

Apparently Australia on the whole has experienced hotter Summer temperatures than usual. No wonder there are bush fires happening all around Australia....apart from those deliberately lit by psychos!!!
