SQUEAL - Her thoughts were interrupted as the young girl in front of her let out a squeal of delight, pointing excitedly at the pipers who were getting ready to play their instruments, so Grace sensibly turned her attention to Rufus and Bailey, who were sure to be startled by the skirl of the bagpipes.

LAUGHING - Sitting watching the pipers getting ready Grace didn`t see those laughing girls who were blowing kisses to Rufus & Bailey when they walked past.:-)

GRIMACE - Grace grinned as the dogs began yowling as the pipes started, but she saw that they were already settling down after the first minute or so - and she found herself making a grimace as two people began hauling out a protest sign - thinking to herself, “Really, this isn’t the right place for that!”

EVENTUALLY - After a few hours of causing mahem the protesters eventually left and Grace was able to enjoy the bagpipes with a hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake, but alas no goodies for Rufus & Bailey!

YAWN - After popping into the Habitat store to grab some delicious treats for the dogs, Grace drove home, stifling a yawn with one hand and then - abruptly - swerved into the outer lane as a car behind sped up so close behind that it almost seemed as though it would ram her.

NERVOUS - After arriving home safe and sound from Habitat, Grace with a coffee in hand reflected how nervous she was about what might have happened!

SIGN - During her afternoon walk with the dogs, who were looking particularly adorable after she’d lovingly brushed their coats, Grace noticed a new sign erected at the bottom of the slight slope - “Road works scheduled between 2 and 8 December / Pedestrian path temporarily closed”.

NEVER - Grace was sick and tired with all these road works going on and was wondering when it was going to end. Rufus & Bailey were great dogs and if it weren`t for them she would have moved away from Croydon sooner.  She hoped to never experience this again!

Re: Funny word chain game

ROUTE - Unfortunately the scheduled roadworks meant she would have to change her usual route while walking the dogs, which was rather annoying as there was a very busy road in the other direction which she usually avoided as it could be quite dangerous for her two furry friends.

EXASPERATING - Grace saw a massive-shouldered dog pulling his owner, coming towards her - and Rufus and Bailey were not too happy; Grace kept the leashes very close but found it exasperating that the woman being taken for a fast walk by the large dog could clearly not take full control over him.
