MAIL - Once the storm finished and the  dogs came out from under the bed Grace decided to open her mail parcel. Shaking her head in disbelief she pulled out 2 dog toys that someone had sent to them and not her!

LABEL - She called to the dogs, who jumped onto the couch next to her and began to investigate the box, while Grace hid the dog toys momentarily as she told Rufus and Bailey, “I could refuse to give you the toys, as it’s my name on the address label, not yours, you cheeky adorable boys - but of course I wouldn’t do that!” - and she held the toys in front of them with an encouraging motion.

LOOK - After a long look at the toys, Rufus decided they weren't worth the bother, and laid on the lounge with his head in Grace's lap, but Bailey was intrigued and tried to play with both of the toys at once.

GREVILLEA - Grace's garden (the parts not reserved for her furry friends) contained quite a few bird-friendly native plants, including a lovely Grevillea planted near her back fence.

ALLURING - There were several sweet-smelling plants whose flowers sent forth alluring signals to drowsy honey-bees, and Grace loved to hear their soft hum of an afternoon – and even Rufus seemed to appreciate that somnolent sound and left the bees alone without trying to grab them with paw or mouth; it was to be hoped that Bailey would be similarly disinclined to disturb the bees!

GOING - In the afternoon sitting outside with her doggies Grace saw so many bees flying around, when all of a sudden Bailey started going crazy. Trying to catch a bee in amongst the flowers he got stung by a bee  and he started yelping!

GRABBED - Grace ran inside and grabbed a packet of frozen peas from the freezer, holding it to the site of Bailey's sting to relieve the pain, which calmed him down a bit, and made a fuss of him while telling him he was a silly boy and the bees weren't there for him to play with.

DRYING - After removing the bee sting and settling him down Grace decided to give Rufus & Bailey a hose wash, as they were starting to smell and itch a bit.  After drying them off Rufus  saw the puddle left by the hose and in he jumped!
