TAMBOURINE - As Rufus and Bailey came dancing into view with clown shoes, banging a green tambourine, the Wizard of Oz disappeared, and Grace came awake with a jerk; tambourines and clown shoes? - and she staggered out of bed, still a little disoriented by that weird dream, to see that the dogs were lying curled up outside her bedroom door and - thankfully - there wasn’t any sign of that strangely terrifying dream figure of a Wizard.

EARLY - Grace looked at the clock, then looked again - was it really that early? No wonder the dogs were still asleep, that dream had woken her up much earlier than usual.

GUESSES - Her friend immediately began to put forward guesses and suggestions to interpret the dream, and gradually the suggestions became so wild that the two of them collapsed into giggles.

EXTRA - Grace adjusted her sunglasses slightly, tilted her straw hat and kept a firm hand on the leads as she walked briskly down the street with Rufus and Bailey keeping pace with her; there was a moment where the dogs clearly wanted to turn into the street most familiar to them on their walks, but Grace took them right, puffing with the extra effort as the path sloped with a rise.

AT - Grace was finding it hard walking the dogs and trying to make sure that she didn`t slip whilst on the path.  Arriving safely at the local cafe she ordered an ice coffee and asked the waiter for a bowl of water for Rufus and Bailey.
