GARDEN - Working in the garden always made Grace feel better, so she joined Rufus and Bailey in her back yard and started weeding around her flower beds and trimming away the dead wood from her fruit trees.
on 10-12-2024 08:21 PM
NOSTRUM - Grace paused in her gardening to have an iced tea while she threw tennis balls for Rufus and Bailey, and checked on her phone for any messages - and there was one from a friend who had forwarded her an article about a weird concoction called Eternity Juice, which was clearly a nonsensical nostrum of some sort.

MUSIC - After her stint in the garden Grace decided to go inside with Rufus & Bailey and listen to some music on her radio.
on 11-12-2024 08:47 PM
CRAYON - While she was listening to the radio, Grace settled the dogs and stroked their beautifully soft ears, and saw on a friend’s Facebook page that their toddler had almost eaten a crayon!

NUMEROUS - Grace whilst listening to the radio heard numerous people ring up with stories of where children had put items in their mouths thinking it was a lolly, and were very lucky not to choked.

SLIPPER - Grace went back to her music, but was distracted a bit later by sounds emanating from her bedroom - and when she went to check, there was Bailey, sitting in front of her wardrobe, chewing on an old slipper of hers with an innocent look on his face while Rufus was curled up on her bed with a world-weary expression that seemed to be saying “I tried to stop him, but would he listen?”
on 12-12-2024 05:28 PM
REGRETTED - Grace regretted forgetting to close her bedroom door, but luckily the chewed slipper had been almost completely worn out, and she certainly wouldn't be needing it at the moment, with the hot weather forecast for the next few weeks.
on 15-12-2024 10:11 AM
DECIDED - After much thought Grace decided to take Rufus & Bailey out for their daily walk before it got too hot. Tomorrow would be a no no as 41c is expected!
on 15-12-2024 05:29 PM
DOLL - While out walking the dogs, Grace stopped to admire a young baby in a pram, only to realise that the pram really contained a doll, and was a bit nonplused by the fact that the owner was chatting and cooing to it as if it was a real baby.

LIMPING - Grace continued on her way, and gave the dogs a little more leeway by extending the leashes; moments later her heel turned on a stone half-hidden beneath the grass, and found herself limping with a distracting sharp pain scissoring her ankle with each step.
