1960's girl groups and early girl singers are a bit of a specialty of mine...I linked 9 as a set back at page 128/post no 1909...fun videos and hard to find...I have many rare and collectible LP's by these groups...some still do the veteran's circuit although most are in their 60's/70's now, many have passed on and many retired from the music business early on. Most never earned very much at all from those early hits...usual story of greedy managers and parents mismanaging money.

I also had a beehive and a Collarless tight skirt suit, Hounds tooth, edged in Black, would not look out of place in today's fashions, worn with very high Black stilettos

...some trivia....the blonde lass from Shrangri-Las still performs, one of the dark haired sisters died young, the other retired. They were one of very few white girl bands during that era, singing was a way for many of the African American girls to get out of poverty, while others came to the bands via gospel choirs, R&B and Motown led the way in signing them...more info than you ever wanted!!

mmm...lion if you still had those threads they'd be fought over if you put them on Ebay! Very hard to come by the real thing these days. And very hard to find original vinyl from these girl groups nowadays, my collection has been put together over a lifetime...op shps have been picked over, they rarely turn up at auctions unless it's a deceased estate, so when I do find one I do a happy dance!
