you may have try soaking in icy water .......thats what I had to do to stop the swelling ......and its gotta be icy water - your foot will go numb if its the right temperature .....:O

It's cold here atm. I can't even contemplate putting my foot into icy water........:-(

well your ankle needs to be reduced in size to make it hurt less ......its not gonna reduce by itself ......

and if it gets worse you will have to visit the hospital /docs

I have one of those head-ache masks here somewhere... I think that's what it's called........ a thing that's filled with gel and you freeze it and use it for head-aches.

If I can find that I think it will do the trick

hmmm maybe not big enough ......

do you have a bag or frozen peas or vegies in the freezer ....cos if you wrap them in a tea towel and then place that on your ankle it will probably suffice for the moment .......

I've already found the mask in the fridge Peela, and although it's not frozen it's cold and the coolness is making my ankle feel better already.

All it took was you getting on my back to make me do something.......... rotfl.

I think I'll stick it in the freezer for a while and try to wrap it on my ankle when I go to bed.
