late getting in .... but now off to bed ....
Hi Hawk & Peela :-x.
Hope you are both organised for the festive season. I only have to pick up some fresh fruit and vegies now.
Peela, when do you finish work? Do you have much time off? Not long until your holiday.
Hawk, I take it you are retired. We have just driven from Vic to the Gold Coast and think we might sell our van. We are still tossing it around as we're not real sure. Sick of seeing the same old country and every town is the same - same shops, same everything. We think we might prefer to fly and hire a car rather than pull a van - we were planning to go to FNQ in 2012. We think we might fly to Cairns, hire a car and go to Port Douglas then down the coast to Brisbane then fly home. On the other hand, we fancy a cruise for a change. In other words, we don;t reall know what we want to do. We are both really home lovers and think, maybe shorter holidays are the go. We are going to do nothing until the answer comes to us!
Anyway, time for bed as I have a busy day tomorrow. 10 coming for a bbq - just hope the weather behaves.

sandy .... I finish tomorrow ...but back to work on wednesday ... only time I have off is when I take holidays ...about every 2 yrs ... or I get pneumonia .... like I did in july ...and am in hospital LOL ..... I work all the time ....
I think I would be bored at home all the time .... and a lot of years to go before I even contemplate retiring 😉
you should pop over to WA .... have a look around ...tis a beautiful place .... either north or south .... or all bits inbetween B-)

Hi Peela and Hawk. Such a busy time of year. I have 11 for a bbq tonight so best get moving!
Peela, last year we went from Vic to Adelaide then up the centre to Darwin then across the top to Derby and down the coast to Margaret River, across to Esperance, up to Kalgoorlie, across the Nullahbor to Ceduna then home. Naturally we stayed at different places along the way. Derby for 5 days, Broome for 10 days, Kalbarri for a week, Perth for a week, and a few other places as well. Had a great time but were glad to get home.
Anyway, just in case I don't get back in, hope both you and yours have a wonderful and safe Christmas. ♥

off to bed ... been a long week ....
Just called in quickly to wish Peela and Hawk a very Merry Christmas. I hope you both have a great day with your loved ones and that Santa was good to you.
Our kids are coming home tonight so on our own for lunch and not bothering with much. We went to our son's for a big breakfast and watch our grandson open his presents - you can't eat 3 big meals a day. Frank caught me a freshwater crayfish and I am having a crayfish sandwich for lunch - yum!
Have fun and don't eat or drink too much...
