Chilly day all round then it seems.
I had a general letter from the insurance company asking to ring them to check details. So I ring the 1300 number thinking it was about my ongoing flood claim, that I still have got nowhere with. The lady wanted to bring to my attention that the policy was up for renewal on the 11th August and would I like her to send me a brochure about bushfire protection. I told her there was no way I was going to be doing that and then let her know all the problems I have been having with her company. I then asked her why she would want to send me a brochure about being covered for bushfires......then spent the next few minutes listening to her trying to convince me - inner city dwelling here, no bush for miles and miles - that my house is in a high bushfire risk area and I should listen to her and change my cover to ensure that I am covered in the event of a bushfire. She is probably still wondering why I hung up on her.
