grrrr nope hawk its not the browser ......Im on missys puta and can access both of the above sites ......which leads me to believe its my antivirus protection - its probably blocked them or something ....grrrrrr

I have had no joy since I renewed it .....they make it all fancy and stuff everthing up ! last saturday it engaged the parental controls and blocked all sites - including their own website !

had to get my westnet guy to help me undo it - there is no easy way to do this - we had to spend about an hour finding the problem and getting it so I can use the puta ......but its still doing stuff it shouldnt be doing - I may still have to get my techies to see if they can sort it out for me - much as I hate having to not have my puta - at least missy has a desktop puta now ....so it wont be so bad as using her lappie which was soooo slow !

sorry again on the jam front - but didnt get to the shops at all as I worked and then came straight home and out to dinner with the family ....:-p

OK just try this to confirm it is the AV causing the problem.

Have a known safe web site ready to load and manually shut down your AV software and test if you can access the web site.

Aferter you have done that regardless of the result restart computer so AV restarts as normal just to be safe.

If that allows you to open when its shut down it would appear that is what is causing it.

Have a look in system restore to see if you can undo that last update.

Failing that look in control panel, add & remove programs to see if you can remove that last update.

And I hope for your sake its not Nortons you are having trouble with.

nope its CA ....... never had any problems with it before but this new one is soooo different from the old one ....

I have decided to take it up to the boys (techies) and let them sort it out for me - a lot quicker and a lot less frustrating for me .....dont need any extra aggravation at this time of year 😉

I know they will fix it for me as they do this stuff every day .....

techies knew about the problem - apparently this new version has a whole lot of unnecessary stuff on it and they have had heaps of people in with the same problem ...... he also said it makes the puta run really slow due to all the extra carp thats running on the protection program .....hes gonna remove all the unnecessary stuff and it will be fine ......!

been out for dinner - xmas do with the work girls ....one is a thai lady .....so she cooked out dinner ....it was delicious ....and I got left overs to bring home for tomorrow .....YUMMO !
