I found it quite a business helping an elderly relative. Do not know how they would have coped without family as they were a bit bewildered . I feel for those without relatives/children around to help.

That is exactly what I have been saying Centuries. I know my parents really appreciate what my sister and I plus the other members of the family do for them. My sister and I are the ones who are 'on tap' so to speak.
I feel for the elderly who have no one. What happens to them?

Good evening Twonklers. I have spent the day chucking stuff out into my skip and packing up other stuff ready for carpet laying in a couple of weeks. What a nightmare of a job! ;\

It is a huge job!! You don't realise just how much has to be cleared until you do it:-(

You have reminded me I need to hire the largest skip I can find...for the least outrageous sum. Last one was rusting and I had visions of the bottom falling out when it was being hoisted up on the truck.
