Have a wonderful holiday. I am off to Brisbane tomorrow morning to visit my niece.
Unfortunately, she has had another setback. She will have no idea we are there, but at least we can support our brother and his wife and be at my nieces side, even for a few minutes.

and yes having family there to relieve her mum & dad for a short while is a godsend ....:-x

afternoon ....
nothing much to do today .... we have been to all the places we usually go ...and nothing worth buying so pointless going back just for nothing ....
yesterday went to a hairdressers and had my hair washed and blow dried (its long) ....and it cost me 200 Bht ... = A$6 .... cant complain a bout that .... LOL .... and the washing part was lovely ... about 10-15min ..... she massaged my head .... **sigh** ... will have it done again ... next place I go to ... LOL
we are off to Pattaya tomorrow morning ... we catch a flight to Bangkok .... then a mini van ride to Pattaya ... where we will stay for 6 days .... hoping there are a few things to buy ... cos havent bought much at all so far ... and its not a real holiday if you dont spend your money is it LOL

Sounds like you are having a nice time and I hope you can find some shopping to do.
I am back from Brisbane. My niece is still on life support and at the family conference that they had on the first afternoon we were there the Doctor was saying just how bad a state she was in.
She was described as the sickest patient in the hospital and in fact the sickest patient in Australia.
The Doctor also said that in over 20 years of practice they hadn't come across anyone with a condition as severe as her.
They are doing all they can for her and managed to do some scans today so time will tell what needs to be done.
She is still very deeply in an induced coma and she looks so nice. I described her as angelic the other day.

The news on my niece isn't crash hot but we were warned that there would be 1 step forward and 3 steps back type of thing.
My brother and sister in law, plus A's sister and fiance have flown up there and my brother sent a text message that it appears as though she has been having some mini strokes and looked awful. He sent a further text later this afternoon to say that she now looked a lot better.
We won't know the full extent of anything until she is brought out of the coma.
She is gradually having the amount of life support reduced. She has assisted breathing and she is able to do some on her own, so they are slowly reducing the oxygen they give her.
