As soon as I saw the photo from the Roller Derby I gasped. Your daughter is exactly how I imagined you look, except you have dark hair.

I had last weekend in Brisbane at an 18th birthday party. Went up on Friday and back on Monday.
It was really good and had a Batman theme.
I missed Damien's show by being in Bris but fortunately my sister rang me during Damien singing one of his new original songs, so I was in Heaven as I was listening.

It won't be long then until we countdown to your next holiday. We do all of ours online except the tours which have to be done through a Travel Agent.
We used points for our flights this time except for 10,000 points that we had to buy to get MrBraff home. (Maybe I should have left him there) He would be happy with that because he loves Switzerland.
There was something else that I wanted to tell you but for the life of me I cant think what it is at the moment. 
If I think of it I will pop back in.

couldnt get in last week so thats why Ive not been in .... but in now ... so making the most of it ... LOL
haha ... my daughter is a bit more svelte than I am these days ... LOL .... we all get older looking .... my hair is light brow in spots but also I have some silver streaks .... my dad (RIP) was silver from about 35 so I lasted longer than he did ... both my sisters dye their hair so they dont get the silver bits ...LOL ... I dont care .... and actually have the silver streak like lily munster used to have in the tv show the munsters ... I love it !
missy is looking forward to the grand final ... its on 24th of this month .... she bouts usually on saturdays they call them scrimmages ... its a training bout .... good for them all to hone their skills ... ๐
been working at a different centre the last 3 weeks .... and been on late shift the whole time ... grrr hate not getting home until around 7-30pm at night .... most nights Im home around 7-10 to 7-15 ... but the other night we still had kids there at 6-40pm .... parent wanders in and says sorry Im 2 mins late ... ๐ฎ ...... then complains when I tell her she owes us money for being late .... then she signed them out at 6.32pm .... ๐ฎ when it was actually closer to 6-45pm ..... I informed manager next morning ... and the woman rang her in the afternoon and made a complaint about me ... told the mgr I was rude to her ....and that she was only 2 mins late ..... but manager had spoken to the other staff member and myself and knows that the woman is lying .... as the other staff member told her I was totally professional when I was interacting with the parent ...
we charge $2 per minute per child for late pickups after 6-30pm .... that equates to $1 per carer as we dont get paid after 6-30pm she had 3 to pick up ... so that would have been $18 each for the other girl and myself ... Im not sure what the manager is going to do about it.... just hope the parent gets charged !
ooh sorry about the whinging .... on a good note ... mum ask me last night if we should book NOW as we dont want to leave it too long LOL .... considering she has been telling me shes too old to go on another trip .... LOL .... love it !

Hi Peela, all the way from Brussels. We have had a great holiday so far.
An older crowd, but then again, Mr Braff and I aren't all that young ourselves. The others just seem a lot older.
Gosh, you are right about Business Class. We crashed back to earth when we caught the flight from Zurich to Amsterdam.
You have every right to charge that parent. Maybe she needs a new watch. Hopefully the Centre Management will sort it out for you.
I get MrBraff to colour my hair. He does a good job and saves me a fortune. I wouldn't now what my natural colour would be like now.
I hope your daughter does well in her bout. You'll have to let me know.

glad youre having a wow of a time .... and yes sometimes people seem older somehow than you are yourself ... even though they might be roughly the same age or even younger ..... tis only that we are young at heart and spirit that makes this so I reckon 
back to my usual centre the last couple of days of last week .... and you guessed it ... straight onto late shift .... LOL ..... but at least its closer to home .... the parent issue .... from what Ive been told will have to be sorted with HO .... so I signed out the late time on my timesheet .... they can pay me cos Im not doing it for nothing ... and even though the parent would have paid more at least I will get reimbursed for my time ....
mum is getting antsy about the trip now .... I have been watching the prices and the airfares have stayed the same for over a month now ... was hoping they would drop a bit .... but the hotels seem to change every day .... up by a couple of dollars or down by a couple of dollars ..... but still ok .... so probably going to book either tomorrow or monday ... dont want to miss out completely ....

We are still having a good time Peela. We are with a new group of people now and they are DEFINITELY older than us. We would be in the bottom 5 in age.
We spent today in Italy after leaving St Moritz, but are now back in the Italian area of Switzerland.
At the end of this tour we will be spending time in interlaken where ai will be doing a Canyon Swing. Here is a video. Scroll down to video. I am not doing the Glacier Bungy jump but the swing.

well you will be pleased to know that on monday 12th (this last monday) I booked our holiday .... it was my birthday so throught it fortuitous to do so on that day .... booked to thailand (as per usual) .... we are only going to pattaya & bangkok this time ... not going to chiang mai ... as we decided we had seen all it had to offer at present LOL
staying at the same hotel in pattaya.... Ive booked the two rooms as per last time .... its central and walking distance to a couple of nice places to eat dinner ....
in bangkok we are moving hotels .... as we decided that the one we usually stay in now no longer has heaps of things around it for us to go to .... so have moved to a different area where there is definitely things to see ... we usually go to the area for a look around and shopping .... so why not stay in the same place .... Ive booked a family suite in this hotel as it was just as cheap as booking two rooms for us ..... at least this way we are all in the same room .... its got a room with a queen bed and another room with twin beds in .. so ideal for us ....
we have changed our dates back to earlier in january as my aunt became a nanna in early february this year whilst we were in bangkok .... so we will go earlier so shes back in time for the babies birthday party .... so she gets to go with us on holiday and then pop over to victoria for the babies birthday ...
working at two different centres at the moment ... feel lke a ping pong ball .... worked tues & wed & friday at one .... and thursday at the other .... and next week .... working mon & wed at one and thurs & fri at the other .... then after that I will be 2 weeks at the one centre .... every time I think I am getting a bit of time off I get a booking ... LOL
on monday (which I took of for my birthday) had lunch with mum & sister ... and next week took tuesday off as my mum has to go to an eye exam - she had cataracts and they were removed but one has grown back so she needs to have the dye stuff in her eyes ... and her appointment is 7.30am .... then she cant drive for 2.5hrs .... she said she would just sit and wait ... but told her no way I was taking her and then taking her home ... she cant just sit and wait that long in the morning ...
thats the good thing about being relief staff .... if I have to go for an appointment I dont take a booking for that day and just go to the appointment ....much easier than trying to work in with other staff if I worked permanent staff ....

well went to Freo today ... took mum & aunt (aunts birthday) had an awesome lunch at Kailis Bros Cafe ..... yummy fish and chips whilst sitting outside on a large veranda ... looking at the boats on the water .... **sigh**
then tonite went to watch my missy play roller derby .... was the grand final .... they play 3 times a year .... and they were one each so it was the decider .... and
WOOOOHOOOO ... my missy's team ELECTRIC SCREAMS ..... won ..... therefore winning the grandfinal and being the 2013 CHAMPIONS ..... !!!! ....well done to all the girls on the team .... an awesome effort !!!
no tomorrow I have to do all the things I usually do on saturdays .... washing etc .... **sigh** it doesnt do itself sadly ..
well another saturday over and done with .... its 12-20am here in the west .... and Im still up ... been watching some tv .... then thought I would see if I could get in before I went to bed .... so here I am LOL
Im wondering if youre back from your holiday yet ??? or if youre still having a wonderful time in foreign locals .....
been on lates all last week .... and onto earlies for this week ... at my usual centre .... then off to my next centre after this week for a couple of weeks ..... before heading back to my usual one ... I seem to be playing ping pong between two centres LOL .... they are both with the same company just different locations so all good .... and I know the children and staff at both so its ok .... even getting to know some of the parents at my second centre .... but nowhere near as well as my usual one ... but thats because Ive been going there since 2006 ,,,, so I ought to know them by now LOL
nothing else to report .... the weeks drag out and the weekends go in a blink .... but not a lot I can do about that LOL
