Even though I haven’t sold anything, I was charged $4.99 by e-bay commerce. Do you think it’s a scam

I presume you have subscribed to ebay plus, and elected to pay $4.99 monthly, instead of an annual payment.

No I don't think it's a scam

I think you signed up to something without reading the t&c you ticked you had read and are being charged the fees you agreed to pay in doing so

I think anyone who genuinely thought they really were being scammed would be reporting it to eBay and their bank before posting on a member to member forum
