How can I get an ebay plus refund.

I clicked free trail and it charged me an annual fee of 48.99. The whole time it had free trial written on a banner at the bottom and at no point did it say I would be charged until it appreared in my paypal transactions. I definately do not want ebay plus for a year. At the most I may have tried it for a month and paid 4.99 but definately not a year.

Can I please have a refund and ensure my unwanted membership is cancelled.

eBay doesn't read here.

Select help at the top and scroll down to chat with eBay.

You say it had a banner at the top, perhaps you have selected subscribe rather than a link for the trial.

I understand tht the terms are clear. The problem is that I signed up for a trail period and 2 hours later it charged me 44.99

I don't know... Had you tried the trial before or maybe with another account? If it was a mistake, just contact eBay via live chat (it is the only way to contact them at the moment). We are just normal members like you here...

I'm not sure you'll get refunded because the T&Cs are clear

Make sure you go and cancel now so that you don't get charged again next time (membership will remain current for the rest of the year)

Click on the ebayplus link at the top of the page and follow instructions

edit membership > cancel membership

The trial is for 30 days, and if you don't cancel it within 30 days, according to the T&C you agree to continue your membership, and they will charge you an annual fee. They might refund such fee in extraordinary circumstances, for example if someone was in hospital and could not cancel, but normally they won't refund if the trial is not cancelled within 30 days.
