Ebay took 31000 AUD from my account !!!

gobsmacked . I have not used eBay in 3 years. I was more than a little surprised when I saw this rather large withdrawal from my account. Bank reference ebay.com.au.  I cannot access any support from eBay a site that seems determined that I am not able to access their customer service. My eBay. account does not show any activity . I think eBay is being used for criminality. I am hearing more and more stories .

You have been hacked. Contact your bank soonest and get the transaction cancelled.

Contact your bank immediately and advise that your account has been hacked, also change all your passwords on your computer.

It may just be a scam, was the notification definitely  from your bank, because any eBay payment now goes through "ebay.commerce" not ebay.com.au.

The collection entity for purchases in Australia is eBay Commerce Australia

Did you report this to your bank before coming to tell other members?

ebay did not take it, as said, you were hacked, not by eBay and the hacker was not even smart enough to ‘use’ anything like the real eBay entity as their cover

Rather like when I get scam emails from characters pretending to be from the ATO and the use a zero instead of the letter o, dead giveaway

Wasting time right now trying to contact eBay should not be your first port of call

If you have not already reported everything to your bank, do it now
