this might work depending on the way you paid for your eBay plus.

When eBay plus came in I saw some items that had postage on them but free post for plus members.  I signed up to the one month free and let it continue once the one month was up.

I had used a debit card when signing up to eBay plus.  The account the debit card is attached to does not have an overdraft facility, so I can only draw on the balance in the account.  I keep only a minimal balance in the account and usually deposit funds into the account when I knew I wanted to buy something.  This is my way of limiting any loss from online buying.

When the eBay plus membership was coming up I made sure there were not enough funds in the account to pay for eBay plus.  This meant that eBay cancelled my plus membership when they did not receive payment.

I know this might not apply to most eBayers who signed up to eBay plus, BUT, I am posting here to show that having a bank account dedicated to online shopping with a debit card attached while maintaining a minimal balance can be helpful in many situations i.e. avoiding card fraud, eBay plus membership, overspending.
