Surely it is foolish for eBay to ask for full identity documents to be put online? This should be done in some sort of incomplete way, or in stages.
I have supplied my full i.d. but who knows how secure it is?
For selling on eBay it is now required and is similar to supplying a bank with personal details especially online banking.
Banks can also be hacked.
I use a separate bank card only for online, not attached to my other accounts.
Only my Internet provider wants the cc to stay online, otherwise I always select "don't save" when I pay.
For my ISP I have a separate card to which the amount for the Internet service is automatically transferred each month from another card. I think I only have $20-30 apart from the money due for the Internet on that card, so if they hack the website I don't risk much.
Too little,too late.
Opening another browser saves some grief.
"Opening another browser saves some grief."
And how in God's name will opening a different browser help with providing identity proof ?
