updating contact number

Hi everyone

Got message from Ebay asking me to update personal information, First I was asked to confirm log-in info which sent up a pop-up box asking me to confirm telephone contact number, which had my old landline number, so clicked edit and deleted old number and typed current one. Next confirmed that which lead to 'we will call you' clicked on that and got 'please provide correct information', so tried that again afew times with same result, then chose the 'use mobile number instead' option and typed mobile number, then got 'we will text a pin' so clicked on that and got the same 'please provide the correct information' !!!!!!!!!!!! Now I wish I had just left the old landline number because having now removed it, I can't confirm my log-in ID because it isn't accepting my updated telephone info......

What's going on?
