good one Richo glad you got going I think your remote may be playing up.

Try key into ignition, onto accs, press lock then unlock on remote while the key is in the ignition at accs and see if the remote works then

.... makes the bcm and the remote have a little chat and get to know each other again... will be interested to see if you report this afterenoon that a blinker is now stuck on after locking and arming

Re: Barn Find

funny story.

went to a farmvehicle clearance auction at a joint in the hunter valley years ago.

day before, the auctioneer dude put all the lots up in lines, hit the lot with a single-spray

of olive green army surplus paint, from a mobile spraygun on the back of a truck, straight

over wasp nests, seats, steerin' wheels, tyres, the lot, plus all the grass in between 'em.

all the same colour, cars, bikes, stationary engines, gennies, anythin' that was on ground,

tools, gates, chairs that someone 'ad put there for bidders to sit on.    god, wot a sight.   lol

Big mistake that, dagger brushing prior to auction.

If I roll up and see lots of titivating done ,back into the car and off.

Most buyers are much more relaxed to see gear in it's working clothes

Not likely to be a problem nowadays, with pictorial listings to go by

Re: Barn Find

Just an update-opened the door -alarm went off,

(the folks in the other 7 flats must have been excited).

Fumbled the key into the ignition-alarm stopped and the engine started.

At work-replaced the shell and everything works as normal.

No blinker stuck on yet.

Thanks for your replies.

Re: Barn Find

Richo I was going to suggest going in through the boot.

Burren is not far from me. I'm so tempted to go but I have more vehicles than I need already.

I would love an old tractor. Bulldog lanz are my favourites.

I also need a 19hp lister motor. The one we have is water cooled and the water pump is buggered. Rarer than hens teeth apparently. The water pump I mean.

Re: Barn Find

If anybody spots a army bike and sidecar I am interested.

The local museum wants one and the committee have hit the go button.

I found a Ural 750cc m72 Soviet USSR bike about a 58 I think but the same model that was used by the russians where the koalas live but sans side car.....

If you know anybody looking for bren gun carrier road wheels or tracks then I have the market cornered.

They are really looking for something out of the usual to 20k

They already have 2 landy's two jeeps, a Blitz troop carrier, a 1946 Mack, and a BSA in their "transport' regiment, a bofors and the bren gun and carrier of course.

I understand that some Goulding sidecars were reworked for war use... that and a Norton 16h would be preferable.  A link to Australia's first ? sidecar builders
