Hi to everybody,
this is John.
I want to update my Nissan GQ Patrol, with a 4.2 ltr. duel fuel motor,
to a 2005 model or similar.
Most of these models are fitted with a 3 litre diesel motor.
Has anybody had experience with these motors as to reliability and towing ability,
and could you also tell me the approx. number of litres per 100 kilometres
that I could expect?
Thank you all in advance,
John.

Hi, this is John.
My apologies, in the above post I typed the line below --
I want to update my Nissan GQ Patrol, with a 4.2 ltr. duel fuel motor,
to a 2005 model or similar.
I realise that it may read as I was wanting to upgrade the "motor"
with a 2005 model "motor".
What I should have indicated was that I wanted to buy a 2005 model patrol
that has the 3 ltr. diesal motor, and was asking if
anybody can tell me about the reliability and ecomony of the 3ltr. diesel motor?
Thanks for your patience,
Regards,
John.

Hi, John,
I am not sure whether or not the Motors forum would give much traffic in terms of community members who could answer your question.
You may be better off looking for a forum that is exclusively focused on cars - perhaps specifically the Nissan.
Best of luck!

thanks for your reply.
There may still be somebody who can help,
and I thought that the "motors" section was the best place to try.
Regards,
John.
