Being charged by Ebay for an item sold elsewhere

Hi There

I had a guitar listed on Ebay and Gumtree. The guitar sold through Gumtree and Ebay have charged me for its sale. Is this correct procedure?

thanks

You sold two guitars on eBay.

One on the 10th and one on the 15th.

If you didn't complete one of the sales then the automated eBay computer program is not to know that unless you do a cancellation to recover fees. Or an unpaid item case can be done if it was the buyer not paying which will also get you a fee credit.

I suggest you read up on how eBay works especially if you going to continue selling.

Select site map at the bottom of eBay pages.

If ebay believe the sale or contact commenced on ebay, but the transaction was then concluded off site, they will charge final value fees as if the sale was completed via ebay.
