I have posted a few items i have had at home or sale on ebay becasue i haven't used ebay for a long time , payments wont be sent to me/on hold, for a week, because ebay needs to make sure i do things right
I fully understand this.
But now I want to have a go at drop shipping, i will need the payments quick, as to be able to pay the wholesaler, and get the product to the buyer asap.
One ebay have tested you to see if you do the right thing, how long before payments are put into my account.
I cant even start drop shipping until i know this, x Cheryl

Only a week?
Are you sure?
Usually it was 21 days for 'new' sellers (now 30 on managed payments)....as far as I know
What did you set your pay outs too with Managed payments? (daily? weekly?)
As far as the drop shipping part goes, I can't help as I don't do it
But make sure you state in your listings that is what you are doing or you could well end up with unhappy buyers

Payments are on hold for up to 30 days on the new system. However, they can be released quicker as long as you send with tracking. You can see the estimated payout date for each item in your Seller Hub - Payments.
You have 1 of 2 options.
1) Continue to sell items from your home until the restrictions are lifted
2) It is always sensible to have some funds on hand if you're starting a business. No idea what products you plan on drop shipping, but maybe just advertise a few inexpensive things that you can cover the costs until you get the hang of it.
Once you have passed the restrictions time frame, your payouts can be daily, weekly etc, but there could be delays even once the payout is sent, as the bank might take 3-5 days to further process them, depending on the bank. Other banks are quicker - I'm with Westapac and my payouts are every week. I get a message early in the morning on a Tuesday and the funds are delivered by lunch time.
Also, the minute you start drop shipping - you are in business, not a hobby.
Ensure you keep records and funds aside to pay tax. The ATO has far reaching data gathering tools.
Drop shipping is a whole different beast. I suggest that before you put anything up for sale, that you order a couple of the products yourself to check for A) how long it takes to get to you and B) quality.
You should note that sellers on Aliexpress have something like 7-10 days to send the item, so it is never guaranteed that they will ship the item quickly at all.

@sandy - the OP is in no way obliged to say that she is drop shipping. She will just have to deal with any issues as they arise in the same way that all sellers have to. The only things she SHOULD do is put the item location as China.

No, it is a factual answer
Don't list 'items' they are not allowed on eBay if you cannot handle this being pointed out
Learn the rules please

I wanna know what an "inturative reading" is.
Would not the OP be able to gaze into their crystal ball for answers to the questions they have?
