Under the current system,  You pay ebay  and ebay then pay your seller.  So the seller has no access to your payment  method, and no longer any direct access to your email ID,  which is now only given to sellers in an alias format, to allow messages via ebay only.

NO.  Unless they have asked for your credit card number though a personal message or direct phone call.  If either of these apply, then yes, and it is against Ebays terms of use
