why is it so difficult to deal with ebay . Thirty hours to list as a new seller, location for a pick

Have found the entire process of listing and trying to sell incredibly frustraling. Almost 30 hours to get first listing uo. Then pickup location given was 250 ks away from where I am. Then listing pulled for some reason. Then after speaking to someone to complain, she offered to relist, I agreed and nothing happened. Cannot find listing anywhere. Think this will be first and last experience with ebay

New sellers always take 24+ hours for listings to appear. I'm not sure of the reason, but it's always been that way.

What were you trying to list? If it violates eBays terms, they will pull it.

You set the pick up location when you create the listing. You can change it to anything you like. You can also put the location in the title and/or the description.

Yeah, well because it's always been that way doesn't make it right. And I would have thought an antique clock was reasonably non- thretening and not liekely to ffend anyone. And I set the pickup location and they listed one over 250 ks away. Thanks for your response. Know what would have been great? A response from ebay..

You won't get a response from eBay by posting here, they don't look at the boards (as far as we know) and certainly don't post here.

If you want to talk to them go to "help" at the top of any page and phone them or get them to call you back (the best option), don't bother emailing them you'll only get a bot reply which probably won't even address your problem let alone solve it.

How much did you have the clock listed for?

There are also dollar limits on new sellers.

From the description of what this board is for -

"New to buying and/or selling on eBay? Not sure how something works? Post your questions here and get advice from other eBay members and/or the eBay team."

I can understand that you might think that means eBay would respond, but it certainly ain't so in Australia. The last time an eBay employee posted on these boards was fluff stuff about a year ago.

The US boards regularly get responses from eBay, but they are obviously a lot more important to eBay than Australians.

And the item location, as mentioned, is entirely your province.

yeah, logically you would think that someone would scan occasionally to check. Anyway it's Gumtree now. See how that works. Cheers

Thanks but I went through the Help option but after my discussion she said she would relist but didn't; I perservered, pressed a relist button but that didn't achieve anything so to be honest I'll just give it a miss. Thanks for your comments anyway.
