Hi All
I purchased from a seller on 24/08, paid immediately and sent a msg through ebay to let the seller know. There was no contact from the seller and the payment hadn't been marked as received so I sent another msg (again through ebay) asked the seller if payment had been received on 29/08. Seller answered, letting me know that they had received the payment and due to some private family problems (full explanation was given) was unable to post until 31/08. A few msg's were exchanged and ended with me wishing the seller luck with their situation and that I would keep an eye out, thanked them very much for letting me know. The 31st came and went, as of today 05/09 the item is still yet to be marked as posted. I sent a quick msg yesterday, just to follow up and see if all had gone well and have had no reply as yet. I know everyone has lives outside of ebay and most don't access their accounts daily (myself included) and I am taking this into account and given the situation the seller has explained, I feel hesitant to push but I don't really know how long I should leave things. The seller has also received f/b since so has posted out or bought and paid for items at some stage since the 24th. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
How did you pay?
If by bank deposit, then you have opted for no protection and will have to rely on the sellers honesty.
If by paypal, and the item doesnt arrive within 2 weeks (if in Australia) then open a not received dispute.
Not all sellers use the posted icon, so thats nothing to go by, but it sounds by your post that you paid by bank deposit?
If thats the case and the item doesnt arrive, all you can do, if the item value warrants, is take all of the details you have to the police.
