Does Australia post Next Day Delivery really mean Next Day Delivery?

Hi, just found out today that Australia post Next Day Delivery doesn't mean that. From Brisbane to Perth this does not hold.

I see the yellow express post with Next Day Delivery on the front but there is a tiny asterix (or tiny cross or something) saying

to go read the fine print because it’s not true. They took 3 business days to get it there.

Maybe I expect too much but if something is labelled with big letters I read that first but don't have a microscope to see the tiny red asterix or cross.

Sounds like a case for the ACCC to get them to change the font so that the asterix is the same size as the writing font.

Anyone else caught out by this stupidity?

Did anybody get caught out on New Year’s Eve express post-delivery. I paced up and down the garden path all day until 5pm (Qld time) when I panicked just realising that there was not going to be any post that day, even though my mother had gone especially up to the post office at 4.45pm the day before but nobody at the post office told her that there would be no delivery until 4 Jan.

So at 5pm here (6pm NSW time) I realised I had missed the business down there but if I had have known there wasn’t going to be any post I'd have stopped my mother posting the document and driven 45minutes to her place the night before (30 Dec)  taken a photograph of the document and emailed the business of the morning of 31st Dec (the day the AusPost kept it a secret that they weren't operating).

thoroughly peaved off!
