Free postage Australia Standard Postage (Standard Parcel Delivery)

I ordered an item which stated it had Free postage Australia Standard Postage (Standard Parcel Delivery), and I supplied an Australia Post Parcel Locker.  Previously, this was not an issue and I receive a notification to collect the item once it is delivered.

However, on this occasion after the checkout payment the tracking provided as a private courier Aramex Australia (Fastway Couriers). I contacted the eBay seller and they suggested I contact the courier and arrange a redirection. Which I did, and opened a ticket to redirect to my home address.

However, I never received a reply to the ticket and when I called the courier it was merely escalated by the phone operator and I was still not contacted.   The final tracking states Return to Sender, which I did not action. eBay have now closed my case with no refund stating that delivery was attempted. I am very unhappy as the eBay chat agent said I could have just provided a home address to begin with.  I am interested in other people’s experience as I thought Parcel Lockers would be a popular option to avoid possible theft from a unattended home delivery.

Only Australia Post couriers can deliver to Parcel Lockers, Post Offices etc.

Your problem is with the seller for using a different delivery service to what was advertised.

I agree, if they will not deliver to Parcel Post, it should be clear in the listing.   I do not want a courier attending my address and usually get all goods from my Parcel Locker.   I have raised this as a complaint with Ebay and am  waiting  for a response.  I have found on a number of occasions that if I push back on a seller’s request for a home address that they WILL relent and deliver to the PO. So it IS possible.    The current order is for an inexpensive item and they just want me to cancel the order which I am refusing to do.   To fail to clearly indicate refusal to deliver to the PO is just plain bad practice and should be prohibited.
